MANZINI – Mbabane Swallows talisman Felix ‘Fela’ Badenhorst scored his 18th goal of the season as the ‘Beautiful Birds’ ran riot, annihilating listless Manzini Wanderers 4-0 on Sunday afternoon at a packed Mavuso Sports Centre.
Badenhorst, who has been shockingly overlooked for the national team, Sihlangu, is now three goals ahead of the nearest challenger for the golden boot in Young Buffaloes striker Njabulo Maziya with seven
games remaining.

With just five minutes, ‘Fela’ put Swallows ahead after the hesitant Wanderers defence failed to clear their lines. Former Wanderers star player, Neliswa ‘Tiger’ Dlamini hurt his former employers when he added the second goal in the 23rd minute.
Six minutes after the half-hour mark, it was 3-0 when Ayanda Sigudla finished off at the near posts. Wanderers’ traumatic situation was compounded in the 75th minute when Zambian goalkeeper, Sitali Nyambe was shown a red card by the referee, Leticia Vianna for handling the ball outside his area denying Badenhorst a goal-scoring opportunity.

Defender Mlaba Nkambule had to take over as goalkeeper as the situation at Wanderers moved from bad to worse. Mlaba did make one stunning save from a 25-yards out Kwakhe Thwala piledriver in the 85th minute.
But he could not stop a glancing Wonder ‘Samba Jive’ Nhleko header on
the stroke of full-time as the Capital City giants maintained the third spot on the log standings with seven games remaining.
