Convicted criminal and Facebook rapist Thabo Bester’s partner, Dr. Nandipha Magudumana has been remanded in custody.
She was remanded together with her co-accused Teboho Dipholo. According to the SABC News, the two will reappear again in court on April 17, for both bail information and possible application. They appeared at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Thursday afternoon.

Dr Magudumana faces various charges including murder. Her first appearance comes after she, together with her convicted partner (Bester) were brought back to South Africa from Tanzania where they were arrested.
They arrived under heavy security just after 4 am at Lanseria Airport on Thursday. Their return was confirmed by the South African Government during a media briefing hosted by Minister of Police Bheki Cele and his counterpart at Justice and Correctional Services Ronald Lamola.

They were deported after a high-level delegation led by the Department of Home Affairs was sent to Tanzania on April 9 to return them to South Africa. While Dr Magudumana awaited her first court appearance, Bester, as confirmed by Minister Lamola, was readmitted into the Kgosi Mampuru Central Maximum Correctional Facility in Pretoria.
Meanwhile, the whole case has been characterised by a series of activities including other arrests. On Tuesday, Dr Magudumana’s father, Zolile Sekeleni, and a former G4S employee, Senohe Matsoaro were arrested and charged concerning Bester’s escape and their case was postponed to next Monday. G4S is the security company that managed the Mangaung Prison facility where Bester escaped from.
