Dr Nandipha shows her face, father granted bail

Dr Nandipha Magudumana showed her face for the first time since her arrest together with Facebook rapist Thabo Bester.

On Monday, Dr Magudumana and her co-accused were in the dock at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court and those in attendance and watching on television finally got to see her face.

The appearance was broadcast live on Newzroom Afrika and Dr Magudumana was seen blowing kisses to some people inside the court gallery believed to be her family members.

She was forced to show her face as the State made the request. Dressed in a baby blue Nike tracksuit, Dr Magudumana also appeared to be having emotional conversations with her father, Zolile Sekeleni who was later released on E10 000 bail.

The conditions attached to the bail are that he must report to the South African Police Service in Port Edward once a week and must not leave the district without advising authorities.

While the father has been granted some sort of freedom, it was not the case for Dr Magudumana who is set to remain in custody.
