The people of Sigwe in the Shiselweni Region have a lot to celebrate after the Minister of Commerce, Industry and Trade Manqoba Khumalo announced a factory project for the area.
The minister was speaking during the annual Sigwe Sports Day which was graced by various dignitaries including Prince Mcwasho and Prince Mavela, who were representing Prince Sicalo.

The minister announced the factory project while making his remarks. According to Khumalo, the proposed factory will bring development and jobs to the people of Sigwe.
Also making a brief announcement was the National Commissioner of Police William Dlamini, who indicated that the development of the factory coincides with plans of building a police station in the area. He said this would happen soon and the people of Sigwe should expect more police presence soon.

Meanwhile, HRH Prince Mcwasho, speaking on behalf of the Sicalo Foundation Director Prince Sicalo, appreciated the significance of the Sigwe Sports Day. The Prince praised Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development David Cruiser Ngcamphalala for his continued support to the people of Sigwe.
He said it was encouraging to see how the annual sports day has grown in leaps and bounds. The Prince further gifted the lutsango of Sigwe with colourfully embroidered Emahiya courtesy of the Sicalo Foundation.
