Logistical challenges caused delays to the nomination process kick-off time at KaMkhweli Community Hall in Siphofaneni.
The process had to be moved to an open space. The hall which was envisaged for the exercise proved to be small and couldn’t accommodate the over 1500 registrants that showed up.
The plan to conduct the registration process in the community hall delayed the start of the nominations and it only started around 1:20 pm.

Even beyond the starting time, people kept on pouring in to nominate their trusted candidates. Some people complained about the delays but they were not deterred as they wanted to make their voices heard.
MacFord Sibandze declines nomination
In Manzini, outgoing Manzini North MP, MacFord Sibandze has declined the nomination and will not be seeking re-election.

When nominated on Saturday, he declined. His departure sparks discussions about potential successors. In the South, seasoned politician Owen Nxumalo and environmental advocate Stephen Zuke are vying for a seat in Parliament.Â
