ASPIRING Member of Parliament Alec Lushaba, has unveiled his ambitious plan for the people of Hhukwini, promising substantial improvements in healthcare, education, and various other essential services.

Speaking passionately during a recent election campaign held at LaMgabhi Etiyeni, Lushaba conveyed his vision to become a parliamentarian dedicated to guiding the government in its operations and actively participating in law-making.

Lushaba went on to outline the transformative goals he aims to achieve alongside the Hhukwini community once elected as their Member of Parliament. He emphasized the urgent need to address the shortage of medications at the Hhukwini Clinic, highlighting that while the clinic boasts an impressive building, it lacks the necessary medications to serve the public. He pledged to collaborate with the Health Ministry to rectify this issue.

The esteemed aspiring parliamentarian also expressed deep concerns about the state of education in local schools, including Nsukumbili High School, Sikanye High School, and Mdzimba. He lamented that poor educational outcomes lead to high drop-out rates.

However, Lushaba is determined to change this narrative by engaging with companies to motivate teachers and students and introduce technical subjects to these schools. He believes that improved education will pave the way for community development.

Lushaba further assured the community that a community hall would soon grace their area, providing a gathering space for meetings, similar to what more developed communities enjoy. “In my term in office, every chiefdom will have a meeting hall,” he confidently asserted. Should he eventually triumph on September 29, Lushaba vowed to lead with respect, truth, and humility as his guiding principles.

He emphasized transparency in the allocation and utilization of government funds dedicated to different constituencies. With active community involvement, they will ensure these funds are put to good use, bringing tangible projects to fruition.

Another critical issue that Lushaba addressed was the elderly allowance, acknowledging that this essential support often sustains many households. He pledged to work with fellow parliamentarians to explore ways to increase this vital financial assistance.

Lushaba stressed the significance of community input, emphasizing that the exchange of ideas among community members is essential for development. He expressed deep gratitude to the community for their unwavering belief in him, especially after his unsuccessful bid in the 2018 elections.

He promised his unwavering availability to the community, demonstrating his dedication to their welfare. In response to rumours that he had been sent by King Mswati III to contest the elections, Lushaba firmly dismissed this notion, asserting that he had been elected by the people, for the people.

With Alec Lushaba’s passion, commitment, and transformative vision, the people of Hhukwini have reason to be hopeful for a brighter future in healthcare, education, and overall community development.
