COMING from a country where artists struggle to get even a single International show, Uncle Waffles has surpassed the 100 International performances mark for 2023, and it’s only just the third quarter of the year.
Uncle Waffles recently took to social media to celebrate the milestone and also promised to finish things off strong for the year. “I can never thank you enough, thank you, from the bottom of my heart. 2023 has been nothing but grace,” reads her Instagram post.
She further shared another post, captioned, “Canada, thank you for the warm welcome. The third tour of the year is in full effect. 100+ International shows this year. Let’s finish strong babies.” The Eswatini-born ‘Princess of Amapiano’, keeps hoisting the Eswatini flag high as she has been taking the Amapiano genre to various cities worldwide and has gained international recognition, catching the attention of artists like Drake and Ciara. Uncle Waffles is currently on tour in the UK.
Last month, she made it to Spotify’s Times Square and Toronto Dundas Square billboards where the platform (Spotify) usually displays top artists’ latest released music on the iconic Square.
She has also been featured in the Galore Magazine as the cover girl. Exceptionally, Uncle Waffle’s brand power has seen her officially launch a new campaign with KFC, the KFC Uncle Waffles burger which is now available in selected stores.
