The memorable 2024 Ingwenyama Cup has made a lasting impression on the country’s Prime Minister Russell Dlamini.
Taking to his Facebook page on Sunday evening, the Premier appealed to companies and private sector partners to take a leaf from companies like Sincephetelo Motor Vehicle Accident Fund (SMVAF) in supporting sports, culture and arts in the Kingdom.
“It is important that we also thank Sincephetelo MVA Fund, who continue to support this hugely important National tournament.

I continue to urge more companies and private sector partners to join hands in supporting the development of sports, culture and arts in the Kingdom,” he said.
The Premier said he was impressed with the good behaviour of emaSwati who attended the Ingwenyama Cup final.
“I take this moment to congratulate all those who were crowned champions across football and culture categories today.
I further commiserate with all those who didn’t win. I also wish to thank all emaSwati who attended the finals for their good behaviour throughout the day,” the Premier wrote.
He said the Ingwenyama Cup brings together the best of Eswatini’s culture and football.
“It’s another unique Eswatini product that continues to captivate the Nation and watching world.

It was pleasing to see thousands of emaSwati brave the rain to join in this day of celebration,” he added.
The PM joined His Majesty King Mswati III and the nation in watching the sixth edition of the richest club competition in the land, the Ingwenyama Cup which ended with defending champions Green Mamba claiming their second trophy in a row after beating Mbabane Swallows 1-0 in a pulsating finale watched by close to 12 000 people.
Trusted forward Sabelo ‘Sikhali’ Ndzinisa converted a 12th minute penalty after being upended by striker-turned-defender Sandile Hlatshwako as ‘Inyoka Eluhlazana’ claimed the princely first prize of E1.4 million and also earned a ticket to the CAF Confederation Cup 2024.
