His Majesty King Mswati III has emphasized the need for continuous development across the Kingdom of Eswatini.
The King made these remarks during his tour of Eswatini Meat Industries (EMI) and Infracast, subsidiaries of Inyatsi Group Holdings.
He lauded the significant progress and investments made by the company, particularly at EMI, which he last visited shortly after his coronation several decades ago.
His Majesty expressed his admiration for the transformation he witnessed at the factories, noting the remarkable growth and modernization that has taken place.
“Development must flow in the country,” the King declared, where he highlighted the importance of ongoing progress to enhance the nation’s economic landscape.
King Mswati III specifically praised the visionary leadership of Inyatsi Group Holdings Chairman Michelo Shakantu, whose strategic direction has propelled EMI into becoming a state-of-the-art facility.
He also commended the dedicated efforts of the workers, whose collaboration has been pivotal in driving the company’s success.

“I am impressed with the development of the factories, especially EMI. The growth I have seen is incredible,” His Majesty remarked.
He noted that EMI’s advancements shows a broader potential for industrial and economic development within Eswatini.
King Sobhuza’s vision for Eswatini Meat Industries hailed
His Majesty King Mswati III has paid tribute to the visionary foresight of the late King Sobhuza II, whose establishment of Eswatini Meat Industries (EMI) in 1965 laid the foundation for what has become one of the nation’s industrial giants.
The King’s remarks came during an insightful tour of the EMI and Infracast factories, now under the ownership of Inyatsi Group Holdings.
King Sobhuza II inaugurated EMI three years before Eswatini gained independence from British colonial rule, as part of a strategic development initiative aimed at boosting the nation’s economic self-sufficiency.
His Majesty King Mswati III emphasized that the late King’s vision has borne fruit, transforming EMI into a leading meat processing company known for its high-quality products both locally and internationally.
King Mswati III noted, “King Sobhuza’s foresight in establishing EMI was a pivotal development strategy that has grown into the formidable enterprise we see today.

This company stands as a testament to his devotion to Eswatini’s progress.”
His Majesty pointed out that EMI was due to celebrate its 60th anniversary last year. However, the celebrations did not happen due to the transition of ownership from its previous proprietors to Inyatsi Group Holdings.
The King expressed satisfaction that the company’s growth and accomplishments are now being rightfully acknowledged following his comprehensive tour of the facilities.

The elegant dinner, held at Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre, was attended by a distinguished assembly including EMI workers, government officials, and other notable guests.
As His Majesty entered the lavishly decorated venue, he was greeted with warm applause and admiration.
