Local talent was in the spotlight at Witbank Dam as the Shepard Brothers delivered an iconic set at the Rebel Africa Rally 2024, held from October 18 to 20.

This annual celebration of music and community brought together an electrifying lineup of DJs and artists, including Phox, Expresso, Leera, and Lizzy De DJ, creating an unforgettable atmosphere for music enthusiasts.

Hosted by the Rebel Troops, the rally has garnered a reputation for its unwavering support of local talent, and the Shepard Brothers were thrilled to be part of this year’s festivities for the third consecutive time.

In an exclusive interview, the brothers expressed their gratitude and excitement for the opportunity to perform once again.

“It’s always great excitement when we receive the news that we should come play. 2024 is our third year, and we are very excited.

The energy at the rally was palpable, with a crowd that came out in droves to support the lineup curated by the Rebel Troops.

Reflecting on their performance, the brothers noted, “The attendance was great; people came out in numbers to support the rally.

The crowd was on point; they have been enjoying a great lineup the Rebels have prepared. With us coming up, it was just an extra fun performance to what was already going down. Salute to The Rebel Troops Club.

Their continued presence at the Rebel Africa Rally underscores the Shepard Brothers’ growing popularity and the trust the Rebel Troops have in their musical prowess.

The brothers emphasized the significance of such opportunities, particularly when performing outside their home country.

“Playing outside the country is very helpful as we get to play for larger crowds, bigger stages, share our own produced songs with the masses, and increase our network and fanbase. It even opens more opportunities for us,” they explained.
