The internal challenges at Mbabane Highlanders have seen a team of supporters head to South Africa (SA), Pretoria.
They were led by the team’s Public Relations Officer (PRO) Kenneth Dlamini and joined by the Manager Simiso ‘Space’ Jele and coach Mthunzi ‘Lomphofu’ Ginindza.
The six-member party travelled on Friday and expected to meet their club’s under-fire Managing Director (MD) Chief Ally Kgomongwe on Saturday.

Among other things, the PRO said the Highlanders masses deserved to know the truth about all the social media and mainstream claims by the faction against Kgomongwe.
“We have to make sure that Highlanders people know the truth. The MD needs to answer some critical questions like how long this will go on unaddressed and also ask him about progress on the supply of replicas or team merchandise,” said Dlamini.
He said it was still timely to sort things out, but Kgomongwe, as the official MD, was the only one with answers. Dlamini said some of the things seen on the various media platforms, particularly Facebook, needed him to come out and clear the air.
“Some Highlanders people don’t know what’s happening and still want to hear from him. So, this meeting will give us the answers,” he said.
Worth mentioning is that these supporters were also part of the branch executives who also worked closely with the interim NSC Chairman Mfanuzile ‘Fash’ Dlamini.

The latter was not part of them as he currently does not see eye to eye with Kgomongwe, who believes he was behind the current impasse in the team.
Furthermore, Kgomongwe had on Friday insisted he was still in charge but just watching those who led the club in the past two games before he took stern action on those he holds responsible. He has already axed the club’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Governor Musa Masuku for an alleged mistrust.
