It was a weekend of mixed fortunes in the MTN Premier League!

However, the biggest winners were ‘Correctional Services’ side Green Mamba who reclaimed the top spot after beating Rangers 3- 1 at King Sobhuza II Stadium.

The Ernest Mavuso-led side needed goals from Siyabonga Zwane, Kwanele Shongwe and Njabulo ‘D4D’ Ndlovu to move to the pole position with 38 points after 16 matches, and moved two points ahead of Royal Leopard who played to a 1-all draw with Nsingizini Hotspurs on Saturday.

The Musa Manyatsi-led side dented the defending champions’ title hopes through goals from Banele Nkhambule and Andile Mamba.

The fourth loss of the season dropped the red-and-white glamour side to position six with 28 points.
Army side Young Buffaloes are fifth after their 2-1win over Illovo with 29 points.
