Talented South African musician Sjava is set to bring his signature sound and electrifying stage presence to the Kingdom of Eswatini as the headline act for the highly anticipated Sjava Ka Jama Live in Eswatini event.

The award-winning artist, best known for chart-topping songs such as uMama, is scheduled to perform on July 31, 2026, at Mdzimba View Shisanyama in what is expected to be one of the biggest musical gatherings of the winter season.

The event will commence at 4 pm and continue into the early hours, ending at 3 am.

Organisers have assembled a strong supporting lineup featuring local and regional acts, including Zulu D, Bandora, The Bishop, Sbu De Drum DJ, Mixmash, and resident DJs from Mdzimba View Shisanyama.

Tickets for the event are already on sale, with organisers encouraging fans to secure their passes early.

General pre-sale tickets are available for E100, while VIP pre-sale tickets cost E300.

Those who choose to purchase tickets at the gate will pay E150 for general admission and E400 for VIP access. Tickets are available through Mojaticket.

Adding a stylish touch to the event, organisers have announced a “coat and sneakers” dress code theme,

which is expected to bring together elegance and street fashion, reflecting the modern cultural influences often associated with Sjava’s music and image.

Sjava, whose real name is Jabulani Makhubo-Hadebe, hails from Bergville in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.

Over the past decade, he has emerged as one of the continent’s most respected musicians, celebrated for his ability to seamlessly blend Afro Soul, Hip Hop and traditional African sounds.

The singer first rose to prominence with the release of his debut studio album, Isina Muva, in 2016.

The project achieved significant commercial success, reaching the number one position on iTunes and earning widespread critical acclaim.

Following the success of his debut project, Sjava continued to build an impressive catalogue of work.

His album Umqhele became one of the defining projects of his career, earning him the prestigious Album of the Year award at the South African Music Awards (SAMAs).

His subsequent releases, including Umsebenzi and Isibuko, maintained the momentum.

Isibuko in particular enjoyed remarkable success, attaining Gold certification within a month of its release while securing five nominations at the SAMAs.

Beyond commercial success, Sjava has also gained international recognition for his contributions to African music.

One of the highlights of his career was his involvement in the soundtrack for the blockbuster film Black Panther.

The soundtrack received global acclaim and earned a Grammy Award nomination, providing a platform for African artists to reach wider international audiences.
