Public excitement for the Eswatini Kota Festival continues to grow, with organisers announcing that 60 per cent of the event’s early bird tickets have already been sold months before the festival takes place.
The strong ticket sales indicate growing anticipation for the October 24 event, which will be held at Malkerns Country Club and feature a full day of music, food and family entertainment.
Organisers have encouraged members of the public to secure their tickets as early as possible, warning that only a limited number of early bird tickets remain available.
A variety of ticket categories have been introduced to accommodate different groups of festival-goers.
Families can attend with a general admission package starting at E200, while children pay E80 for entry.
Students have been offered a discounted ticket price of E100, with standard adult admission set at E150.
Festival-goers looking for an upgraded experience can purchase VIP tickets costing E800.

Students have been offered a discounted ticket price of E100, with standard adult admission set at E150.
Festival-goers looking for an upgraded experience can purchase VIP tickets costing E800. The VIP package includes reserved seating, secured parking and a complimentary kota as part of the premium offering. Parking for other attendees has been set at E50 per vehicle.
In addition to ticket information, organisers have released a comprehensive list of event regulations to ensure the festival runs smoothly. The Eswatini Kota Festival will operate as a fully cashless event.
Patrons will therefore be required to use bank cards for all purchases inside the venue, with no cash transactions expected to take place during the event. Organisers say the move is intended to improve convenience, reduce queues and enhance security for both vendors and attendees.
Visitors will be allowed to bring their own camp chairs to the venue, allowing families and groups of friends to comfortably enjoy the day’s entertainment. However, outside food, beverages, water and snacks will not be permitted inside the festival grounds.
Instead, attendees will have access to a wide selection of food vendors, refreshment stalls and snack outlets operating throughout the day. The organisers have also clarified the policy regarding cooler boxes. Only empty cooler boxes will be allowed into the venue at no additional charge.
Patrons wishing to purchase beverages will be required to pre-order them through an online platform, which organisers say will become available from September 20. Filled cooler boxes will not be allowed inside the venue under any circumstances. In addition, cooler boxes will not be permitted within the VIP section.
Organisers have also prohibited patrons from bringing hubblys into the venue. Those wishing to use hubblys during the festival will instead be able to hire them from designated service providers operating inside the festival grounds.
The event organisers have further announced that no tickets will be sold at the gate on the day of the festival.
Adding a festive element to the occasion, organisers have announced an “All White with a Touch of Yellow” dress theme. Patrons are being encouraged to wear predominantly white clothing complemented by yellow accessories in celebration of the festival. Beyond entertainment, the festival is also creating business opportunities for local food entrepreneurs.
Organisers have invited Kota vendors to apply for exhibition space during the event, where they will have an opportunity to showcase their products to thousands of visitors expected to attend. Participating vendors will also compete for a share of E10 000 in prize money.
Interested businesses have been encouraged to submit their applications through the designated online application portal before the closing date. Organised by GoldEx Events with support from Nyama Choma Spices, the festival aims to combine music, food, entrepreneurship and family entertainment in what organisers have described as the Kingdom’s biggest celebration of the popular kota.
