Rainbow Stationery restores hope with E190 000 home for elderly man

A 70-year-old man who once lived in a deteriorating mud house now has a safe and modern home after Rainbow General Suppliers and Stationery invested E190 000 to build him a new house.

The house was officially handed over to Joloba Mazibuko of Magubheleni under the Nsukazi Chiefdom as part of the companys ongoing corporate social responsibility programme, which is aimed at improving the lives of vulnerable members of society.

Speaking during the handover ceremony, Rainbow General Suppliers and Stationery Director Mbongiseni Malinga said the company believed that true success was measured not only by business growth but also by the positive impact it made within communities.

He said everyone deserved to live in a safe and dignified environment, adding that the company was moved to act after learning about Mazibuko’s living conditions.

“As a company, we believe everyone deserves to live in a safe and dignified environment. When we came across Mkhulu Joloba’s situation, we felt compelled to help.

We hope this home gives him comfort, security and a renewed sense of hope. Our commitment to supporting communities will continue because giving back is one of our core values,” said Malinga.

An emotional Mazibuko said the new house had completely changed his life and expressed heartfelt gratitude to the company.

I sincerely thank Rainbow Stationery and everyone who contributed to making this dream a reality. I will always be grateful for your kindness,” he said.

They encouraged more companies to invest in projects that directly improve the lives of disadvantaged people.
