Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla has received a vocational training donation worth E455 542.98 from the Government of the Republic of Turkey for Matsetsa School for the Deaf,
describing it as a major boost towards empowering learners with disabilities through practical skills development.
The donation, made through the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), was
Officially handed over during a ceremony held at the Deputy Prime Minister’s Office. 
Receiving the donation, Dladla thanked the Turkish Government for its continued support,
saying the equipment would strengthen vocational education at the school while creating opportunities for learners to become economically independent.
Dladla said the donation reflected the warm diplomatic relations between Eswatini and Turkey and demonstrated a shared commitment to improving the lives of persons with disabilities.
The donated equipment includes fashion and fabric items and accessories valued at E305 869.50,
a mobile stall worth E113 430.70, and art and craft materials valued at E36 242.78, bringing the
Total contribution to E455 542.98.
“The support will enable learners at Matsetsa School for the Deaf to acquire practical vocational skills that could help them secure employment or establish their own businesses after graduation.” Dladla said.
She noted that vocational education plays a critical role in promoting financial independence, improving employability and building self-confidence among persons with disabilities, while also fostering social inclusion.
The Deputy Prime Minister further requested that the construction of the donated mobile stall be completed after the students have finished their examinations so they can participate in the project.
She said involving the learners would give them practical experience and a sense of ownership over the finished product.
Dladla expressed confidence that the partnership between Eswatini and Turkey would continue to flourish,
saying the investment in vocational education would benefit not only the current learners but also future generations by producing graduates capable of creating jobs and contributing to the country’s economic development.
Coordinator of TIKA Sule Bayar said the donation also reflects the friendship and growing cooperation between Eswatini and Turkey.
Bayar also highlighted that they remain committed to working with partners in Eswatini to implement practical and sustainable projects that respond especially to local priorities and improve peoples lives.
