The Royal Eswatini Police Service has appealed to members of the public to assist in locating a man wanted in connection with copper theft and malicious injury to property.
Police have identified the suspect as Sikhumbuzo Fakudze of Gilgal, who is being sought by the Manzini Serious Crime Unit, commonly known as Lukhozi.
According to REPS, Fakudze is wanted in connection with two separate criminal cases involving the theft of copper and malicious injury to property. 
Investigators have launched efforts to trace his whereabouts and are urging anyone with information that could lead to his arrest to come forward.
The police have appealed to members of the public not to attempt to apprehend the suspect themselves but instead to share any information with the nearest police station or contact the Manzini Serious Crime Unit using the numbers provided in the police notice.
Copper theft has become one of the country’s growing criminal concerns, with incidents affecting critical infrastructure, businesses and public utilities.
The theft of copper cables often results in service disruptions, costly repairs and financial losses for both public institutions and private companies.
