Drama ensued at Somhlolo National Stadium when two top Eswatini football officials clashed at Somhlolo National Stadium.

The incident took place after the CAF Champions League match between Nsingizini Hotspurs and Scottland FC.

Nsingizini exited the continent’s premier club competition on a 1-0 aggregate loss to the ambitious Zimbabwean outfit.

A source close to the matter revealed that the matter erupted after the male official wanted to access the dressing room without accreditation, something that didn’t sit well with the female official who was heading security on the day.

“The two exchanged heated words after the senior male official wanted to offer words of comfort to Nsingizini.

The female official told him that he could not access the dressing room without a tag, something that didn’t sit well with the male official, who bulldozed his way into the dressing rooms.

The two ended up exchanging heated words, and the female official reported the case at the Lobamba police station, where she opened a harassment case,” the source said.

Police Chief Information and Communications Officer Superintendent Phindile Vilakati said the matter is still under investigation when reached for comment.

“The said matter is still under investigation,” she said.

EFA Marketing and Communications Officer Muzi Radebe declined to comment on the matter.
“I am not in a position to comment since the matter is handled by the cops,” he said.
