Pupils at Magwaneni Primary School in Mbabane had a fun-filled day and won themselves cash prizes for correctly naming cabinet ministers.

This was during Prime Minister Cleopas Dlamini’s voting registration session. Whilst waiting for the PM to arrive at the school, Principal Secretary in the Prime Minister’s Office Bertram Stewart asked the pupils a series of ‘who is’ questions and the responses were hilarious enough to have guests gasping for air.

The first question asked was, who is the Minister of Justice and Environmental Affairs? Worth noting is that she was present and standing in front of the pupils when the question was asked and the pupils did not hold back with the responses, including made-up names.

The answers went from “His Majesty”, to “Sipho” and all the way to “bandlancane” leaving everyone in stitches.

PS Bertram Stewart with Elias Kunene who correctly answered to who the PM is.

However, Grade 3 pupil Amahle Sukati rescued her fellow schoolmates and the dignity of the school and gave the correct answer, Minister Pholile Shakantu.

When asked how she knew her name she stated that she was used to seeing the Minister on Eswatini TV. The next question was about who the Prime Minister of Eswatini is, and the comedy session resumed because the pupils went to town with their hilarious answers.

Responses were, “hulumende”, “Masuku”, and “The King”. Again, a Grade 3 pupil Elias Kunene saved face when he responded “Sipho Dlamini”.

From Grade 5, Purpose Dlamini correctly stated who the Deputy Prime Minister is, and Zakithi Hlophe from Grade 7 answered who the Minister of Education is.

All pupils who gave correct answers were awarded E100 each.
