The Nomination process for the 2023 National Elections has started on a high as emaSwati showed up in numbers at their different polling stations to put up the names of the people they trust to represent them.
Key names in the ongoing nomination process include Minister of Tinkhundla Administration and Development David ‘Cruiser’ Ngcamphalala, whose name has once again come up for the nomination of Sigwe MP at Ndunayithini inkhundla.
Also among familiar nominees is Minister of Agriculture and Acting Minister of Natural Resources and Energy Jabulani ‘Buy Cash’ Mabuza, who was nominated alongside Pigg’s Peak Mayor Victor Rodriguez for Pigg’s Peak Member of Parliament.

Minister of Education and Training Lady Howard has made the list of ministers who have already been nominated. So far, three serving ministers have been nominated. Minister Howard was nominated under Mafutseni Umphakatsi under Mafutseni Constituency.
Minister of Sports Youth and Culture Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga was not present at Msunduza nomination station, a place where his political career began in 2018 when he was nominated and eventually ousted the then MP of the time Esther Dlamini.
Nominees for MPs at Mbabane East included renowned political journalist Welcome Dlamini who received resounding support. Dlamimi was the first person to be nominated under the MP category and received overwhelming support.

Another media personnel nominated for Indvuna Yenkhundla was Eswatini Observer veteran photojournalist, Mduduzi ‘Top Dog’ Mngomezulu.
Another popular nominee at Mbabane East was former MP Esther Dlamini. Dlamini was replaced by the Minister of Sports Culture and Youth Affairs in 2018.
Popular nominees in the bucopho category include comedian Jacob Gedlembane Shongwe, who has been nominated for bucopho under Mafutseni Inkhundla and Mduduzi ‘Top Dog’ Mngometulu, who was nominated for Indvuna Yenkhundla for Mbabane East Constituency.
