Deputy Prime Minister Thulisile Dladla honoured men with disabilities for their remarkable strength and resilience during a special Father’s Day event held at the Bible Society in Mahlanya.
This event was the first of its kind in the kingdom of Eswatini, bringing together a community to recognize and celebrate the unique contributions of men with disabilities.
DPM Thulisile Dladla praised these men for their continued determination and courage in the face of challenges. “Some of you are on wheelchairs, some use white canes, some have hearing impairments,
but despite all the obstacles, you get up each day and fulfil your God-given responsibilities with dignity and determination.
Whether providing for your families, advocating for your rights, or simply living life on your own terms – your actions inspire us,” she said.
The DPM highlighted the remarkable spirit of these men, emphasizing that they refuse to let their disabilities define them.
Instead, they harness their unique experiences and perspectives to contribute positively to society. “You use your unique experiences and perspectives to make the world a better place.
Your resilience and strength are a testament to the human spirit’s ability to overcome adversity,” she added.
The celebration featured several notable speakers, including Dr. Ngcebo Mbuli and FODSWA (Federation of Organisations of Disabled People in Swaziland) President Bongani Makama.
