The energy at Mdzimba View Shisanyama on Saturday night could not have been higher as the stars aligned for a night of electrifying performances.
South African Amapiano sensation, Scotts Maphuma, stole the show at the highly anticipated “Back To School Party,” turning the venue into an unforgettable dance haven.
The event, a fusion of great music, spectacular lights, and lively energy, promised to deliver an experience like no other, and it certainly lived up to its reputation.
Mdzimba View, known for its expansive outdoor setup and dynamic crowd, was jam-packed, but it wasn’t until the headline act, Scotts Maphuma, hit the stage at around 1 am, that the party truly hit its peak.

The ‘Bathini Bona’ trademarked artist performed some of his hit songs including ‘Ngibolekeni’, ‘MaDlamini’ and ‘Biri Marung’ among others.
The event kicked off with the Resident DJs who set the tone for the evening with smooth beats and a seamless transition into the night’s performances.
From 4 pm to 8 pm, the crowd was treated to an array of local talents, with the DJ sets delivering a perfect warm-up for the hours to follow.

As the night progressed, the energy began to ramp up. At 8 pm, The Bishops took the stage. The audience danced freely, embodying the spirit of the event.
The seamless transitions between acts kept the party vibe intact, but it was Lady Zee at 8:45 pm, who truly began to command the stage, hyping the crowd to the next level.
Zulu D’s performance at 11:30 pm provided the perfect bridge, setting the stage for the main act. The energy was palpable as the clock struck midnight, and the crowd eagerly awaited the headliner, the one and only Scotts Maphuma.

When the clock struck at 1:15 am, the moment everyone had been waiting for came. Scotts Maphuma emerged on stage with his trusted collaborator, Sbu De Drum DJ.
The crowd erupted in cheers, with the excitement rising to a fever pitch. For the next 45 minutes, Maphuma controlled the crowd with unmatched charisma, delivering hit after hit, keeping everyone glued to the dance floor.
The Amapiano maestro’s performance was a masterclass in crowd control and musicality. He sent the crowd into a frenzy.
His chemistry with Sbu De Drum DJ was undeniable, as the pair fed off each other’s energy.
The crowd danced in unison, hands in the air, feet moving as one, with every drop feeling like a sonic wave that rattled the speakers and the souls of the partygoers.
