SEM Cares Foundation is yet again joining the Global Giving Tuesday Movement to support our youth, our community, and our future.Giving Tuesday will be taking place on the 3rd of December and it’s a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage giving and to celebrate generosity worldwide.
Every year, on Giving Tuesday, millions of people across the globe (almost 60 countries) mobilize to show up, give back, and change their communities. The goal is to create a massive wave of generosity that lasts well beyond that day, and touches every person on the planet.Founded in 2012, Giving Tuesday has inspired millions of people to give back and support the causes they believe in, which SEM Cares Foundation also took part from last year. Over $400 million was raised online in 2018 to benefit a tremendously broad range of organizations, and much more was given in volunteer hours, donations of food and clothing, and acts of kindness.We are looking to raise E300, 000.00 as we also wish to buy land for a special structure in means to create job opportunities for our youth in the Kingdom of Eswatini.
“When GT launched in the US in 2012, we believed that technology and social media could be used to make generosity go viral;” said Asha Curran, Giving Tuesday’s CEO and co-founder.“We believed in the idea that people fundamentally want to give and to talk about giving; and that the social sector had the capacity to show more innovative leadership, creativity, and collaboration. The levels of creativity, effort and the quality of the new ideas people have contributed and shared are phenomenal.”
About Turn Up Imbizo: As SEM Cares Foundation we came up with a brilliant concept in means to raise funds that will be staged at Summer Place Building in Manzini, fully supported by Mario’s Pub n Grill. The Crowed funding project is known as Turn Up Imbizo which will take place on the 23rd November 2019 at Summer Place Building using the parking area. The event will feature South African acts including local acts which will be announced using local media and social media platforms.
The event will kick-off with a Fashion Show which will feature 20 local Models including 5 designers. Tickets are already available via MOJA Ticket system with all MTN eTop-Up Outletin the Kingdom of Eswatini. All presale tickets only cost E60.00 and VIP: E250.00. General Tickets will cost

About SEM Cares Foundation SEM Cares Foundation is a charity organization consisting of the members of SEM Promotional
Group. Its main purpose is to give back to the community in more ways than one; using the different holistic approaches to youth empowerment. The foundation has these objectives as part of its operational strategies and focus points;

– Providing forums through which the youth can air their views in matters relating to their welfare.
