Eswatini’s Sancheziey has hailed the opportunity to perform at the Phakama Mpumalanga Festival in South Africa as an important step towards expanding the brand’s international footprint and showcasing Swati culture beyond the country’s borders.

The festival, held from October 31 to November 1, 2026, at 116 Montana Gardens, Ngwenya Estate, White River, Mpumalanga, brought together a diverse line-up of performers, including T-Man Express, Kelvin Momo, Ami Faku, Nothando Hlophe, Sminofu, Dark Horse and DJ Liv (Oliwia), alongside Sancheziey. Reflecting on the performance, Sancheziey described the experience as exceptionally rewarding, saying it provided an opportunity to showcase the brand’s talent and represent Eswatini on an international platform.

“The Phakama performance went exceptionally well. It was a great experience, and we are grateful for the opportunity to showcase our talent and represent the brand on such a platform,” Sancheziey said. The performer said sharing their creativity and energy with an international audience was particularly meaningful, adding that every performance presented an opportunity to build connections, create lasting memories and demonstrate what the brand could offer.

Sancheziey further highlighted the significance of international performances in strengthening the brand’s visibility and creating opportunities for growth. “These international shows mean a great deal to the brand. They provide an opportunity to expand our reach, build international recognition, connect with diverse audiences and showcase our brand beyond borders,” Sancheziey said.

Beyond commercial and artistic growth, the performer said such platforms offered an opportunity to introduce Swati traditions, heritage and identity to different communities. Sancheziey emphasised that representing Eswatini internationally came with a responsibility to celebrate the country’s cultural identity and expose more people to its uniqueness.

“We take pride in representing the Kingdom of Eswatini and sharing a part of who we are with different communities across the globe. Our culture is unique, beautiful and worth celebrating,” Sancheziey said. The performer also sees international engagements as a foundation for establishing meaningful relationships, partnerships and future collaborations.

The brand expressed gratitude to its supporters, organisers and partners for their continued encouragement and for creating opportunities to showcase its work. Sancheziey said every invitation was appreciated and that the brand remained committed to delivering quality, professionalism and memorable experiences at every engagement.

The performer expressed hope that the Phakama appearance would be the beginning of more international opportunities to showcase the brand, celebrate Swati culture and take the name of Eswatini to the world.
