Moneni Pirates seem to be sailing against the tide with their head coach, Matheus ‘Chaka Chaka’ Mandlazi.
The black and white ensemble is already on a mission to search for a new coach for the 2026/27 season, set to commence in August.
A source close to the matter revealed that the club is eyeing three candidates to replace the Mozambican strategists (Mandlazi).
“Pirates are already looking for a new head coach, and the frontrunners include Christopher Ennin, Selaotse’Sly’ Mosala and Ikabort Masocha.
The candidates have been identified as perfect candidates to lead the club next season, and the recruitment exercise will be concluded in July,” the source said.
Ennin and Masocha previously had stints with the club while Mosala was in charge of Mbabane Highlanders last season.

The team’s Public Relations Officer, Meluleki ‘Sluga’ Simelane, said the club was still contracted to Mandlazi.
“We are currently contracted to Matheus ‘Chaka Chaka’Mandlazi, and we remain committed to our agreement,” he said.
Simelane further said he was not privy to comment about the targeted coaches.
“I have not received any information or communication concerning them about the three coaches which you have enquired about.
Should there be any official developments regarding the technical team, the club will communicate them through the appropriate channels,” he said.
Mandlazi led the club to position six with 44 points after 30 matches during the recently ended MTN Premier League campaign.
