A significant portion of Prime Minister Russell Dlamini’s address focused on Eswatini’s bilateral relationship with Taiwan.
The Prime Minister described the relationship, which has lasted more than 50 years, as founded on mutual respect, shared values and a commitment to improving livelihoods.
He said Taiwan has been a dependable partner across multiple sectors including healthcare, agriculture, education, vocational training, digital innovation, industrial development and private enterprise. 
The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for Taiwan’s support and said the partnership continues to contribute to Eswatini’s national development objectives.
In health, cooperation has supported service delivery and capacity building. In education and vocational training, joint programs aim to equip Eswatini’s youth with skills relevant to a changing economy.
The government views skills development as essential for participation in digital and industrial sectors.
The premier also called for Taiwan’s meaningful participation in international governance and global discussions.
He cited Taiwan’s expertise and innovation as assets that can contribute to addressing global challenges.
The Prime Minister said the partnership with Taiwan demonstrates how international cooperation based on trust can produce development outcomes.
He noted that such cooperation must ultimately improve the lives of citizens and support resilient, prosperous and peaceful societies.
Beyond the three focus areas, the Prime Minister urged Forum participants to prioritise dialogue, law and peaceful coexistence over division and confrontation.
He said no country, regardless of size or power, can prosper in isolation, and that collective challenges require collective responses.
He emphasised principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity, non-interference and the peaceful settlement of disputes as foundations for international stability. According to the Prime Minister, respect for these principles is not an obstacle to progress but a guarantee of it.
The Prime Minister thanked the Government and people of Taiwan for hosting the delegation and for their continued friendship.
He said Eswatini remains committed to deepening cooperation with Taiwan and to working with other partners to advance sustainable development and inclusive growth.
