The Prime Minister Russell Dlamini held bilateral talks with President Lai Ching-te of the Republic of China (Taiwan) at the Presidential Office in Taipei on Monday.
The meeting reaffirmed the strong and enduring partnership between the Kingdom of Eswatini and the Republic of China (Taiwan), a relationship that has spanned more than 50 years.
During the engagement, the two leaders discussed matters of mutual interest and explored opportunities to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. 
Key sectors identified for expanded collaboration include trade and investment, innovation, digital transformation, healthcare, education, agriculture, renewable energy and youth empowerment.
On trade and investment, both sides noted the importance of increasing economic exchange and attracting investment that supports industrialisation and job creation in Eswatini.
Discussions included potential cooperation in manufacturing, agro-processing and digital services.
On innovation and digital transformation, the Prime Minister emphasised the need for partnerships that support infrastructure development and skills transfer.
President Lai reiterated Taiwan’s readiness to share expertise in technology and innovation to support Eswatini’s development objectives.
Healthcare was among the priority areas discussed. The leaders reviewed ongoing cooperation in health systems support and capacity building. Areas of focus include the training of health personnel and access to medical technology.
The Prime Minister conveyed greetings and best wishes from His Majesty King Mswati III, Her Majesty the Queen Mother, the government and the people of the Kingdom of Eswatini to President Lai and the people of Taiwan.
During the meeting, both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to deepening the longstanding diplomatic relations between Eswatini and Taiwan.
