EITF reports 80% readiness

The International Trade Fair (EITF), Eswatini investment Promotion Authority (EIPA) Trade Promotion Manager Sihle Nkhabindze has said preparations are currently at 80% completion for this year’s Trade Fair taking place this Friday.

The 57th edition will be held from August 29 to September 8 under the theme ‘Digital Transformation 2.0: Creating Business Networks’.

Nkhabindze said they were witnessing a hive of activity as companies geared up to showcase their products and services.

“We are seeing companies setting up their stalls, finalising logistics and rehearsing their presentations,” he said.

Nkhabindze said this proactive approach reflected a growing enthusiasm within the business community, with many local and international firms eager to participate and make their mark.

“The preparations are not just about getting stalls ready they also encompass a wide range of activities, including promotional campaigns, scheduling networking sessions and securing guest appearances.

We are ensuring that every-thing is in place to facilitate fruitful interactions among businesses, investors and potential partners,” he said.

Meanwhile EIPA Executive Head of Promotions Sibusiso Mnisi said they had projected that more than 70 000 visitors would converge in the country. Mnisi also paid tribute to stakeholders who had ensured the growth of the initiative.

The event will feature a wide range of exhibitors and activities related to various business sectors, including digitalisation and e-Commerce, which is the core theme of the fair,

highlighting the increasing importance of online business and digital technologies. With preparations progressing smoothly, the EIPA is optimistic about the potential outcomes of this event.
