More than 70 000 visitors are expected to attend this year’s Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF), according to projections by the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA).

EIPA’s External Trade Promotions Manager, Sibusiso Mnisi, made the announcement during a press briefing at the authority’s premises.

The Trade Fair, scheduled for August 29 to September 8, is expected to draw both local and international exhibitors under the theme ‘Accelerating Inclusive and Sustainable Business Growth through Digitalisation and eCommerce’

Mnisi highlighted that the event was not only a commercial showcase but also a social and cultural platform.

“The Trade Fair is a hub of commerce, innovation and opportunity. By integrating sport into this ecosystem, we are helping to unlock new avenues for entrepreneurship, tourism and youth development,” he said.

He added that the 10-day event would proceed smoothly, blending business with social impact.

“We foresee a successful period, where the synergy between business and sport will be more visible than ever. We are not just investing in events we are investing in people, potential and progress,” Mnisi stated.

According to Mnisi, the Fair aims to promote inclusive and environmentally responsible business practices. This year’s programme will also include industry forums and conferences, tackling topics such as consumer goods distribution, channel selection, and marketing innovation.

Mnisi expressed appreciation to the various stakeholders who continue to contribute to the growth of the Trade Fair, noting that their support has ensured the event’s development into one of the region’s premier platforms for commerce and collaboration.
