His leadership is expected to catalyse improvements in governance frameworks and streamline administrative processes, ultimately benefiting students, staff, and the broader academic community.

In his first statement as Registrar, Mkhonza acknowledged the challenges ahead with candour and determination. “It is both a privilege and a profound responsibility to return to the University that shaped my own professional journey.

I have no illusions about the magnitude of the task before us. The challenges are deep, complex, and long-standing. But I am confident that, through collaboration with Council, Management, Staff, and Students, and the support of the Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini, we can rebuild UNESWA into a modern, efficient, and trusted national institution. This is a moment that calls for courage, humility, and collective resolve,” he said.

The Registrar’s Office at UNESWA plays a crucial role in managing student records, registration, and academic services, serving as the backbone of the University’s academic administration.
