Figairedo seals Chippa move

Eswatini international Justice Figareido has finally completed his switch to Chippa United.

The former Richard Bay FC player was unveiled by the Gqeberha-based side on Tuesday after spending pre-season with his new side.

The ex-Manzini Sundowns forward has penned a two-year contract with the ‘Chilli boys’, as Chippa United are fondly known.

Chippa is Figareido’s fourth team in the top-tier Premier Soccer League. Previously, he played for TS Galaxy, Richards Bay FC, and Maritzburg United before making the move to Chippa United.



He made his debut against his previous team, Richards Bay FC, on Tuesday evening in the Betway premiership.

He has been included in the Sihlangu squad that will face Cameroon and Libya in the 2026 FIFA World Cup by Croatian coach Zdravko Logarusic.

Figareido is among the foreign-based local players, which include Lindo Mkhonta( Zesco United,Zambia), Mxolisi Mkhonto (Jwaneng Galaxy, Botswana), and Banele Ndzabandzaba (Botswana Defence Force).
