Eswatini has rolled out the red carpet for a distinguished multi-sector delegation from the State of Kuwait, with Prime Minister Russell Dlamini and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Senator Pholile Shakantu extending a warm welcome on Monday.

The Kuwaiti delegation is visiting Eswatini for three days to build stronger ties and look into business and tourism opportunities.

The visit was coordinated by Polinah Dlamini, the spouse of Eswatini’s Ambassador to Kuwait. His Excellency Nkululeko Dlamini leads the delegation.

At the welcome ceremony, Minister Shakantu shared an overview of Eswatini’s culture and economy, highlighting the country’s willingness to work with Kuwait on shared interests.

“Our engagement today is not only about cultural appreciation, but about deepening our bonds and creating new synergies that will benefit both nations,” she said.

The delegation also met with the Prime Minister, who encouraged them to explore Eswatini’s many economic opportunities.

“We are eager to showcase the beauty and potential of Eswatini to our Kuwaiti partners. Together, we can explore various sectors that hold promise for mutual benefit,” said Dlamini.

Responding on behalf of the Kuwaiti delegation, Hasan Abdulkarim Al-Hasawi, Chairman and CEO of Alhasawi Group, expressed gratitude for the Kingdom’s hospitality.

“We are honoured to be here and truly appreciate the warm reception. Our visit seeks to fortify the ties between our nations and explore various collaborative opportunities,” he said.

Eswatini and Kuwait began diplomatic relations in 2008, and their partnership has grown through regular high-level meetings.

The current visit is expected to pave the way for stronger partnerships in trade, investment, tourism, and cultural exchange, signaling Eswatini’s expanding ties with Gulf states.
