The Eswatini International Trade Fair entered its sixth day today, drawing thousands of visitors to the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre for a mix of business, health, leisure and cultural activities.

Organisers confirmed that over 200 international tourists were among the crowds, with many taking in the exhibitions, cultural performances and food stalls.

Government ministries remained highly visible, using the platform to engage the public on services and programmes.

The Ministry of Health reported that more than 1 000 people received healthcare services during the day, ranging from blood pressure checks and HIV testing to eye examinations.

A spokesperson said the aim was to bring services closer to the people and raise awareness on preventive health.

Business seminars on entrepreneurship, digital innovation and regional trade opportunities continued to attract entrepreneurs and youth. Local companies showcased products and services spanning agriculture, finance, manufacturing and technology.

Leisure activities also kept families entertained, with children’s games, live music and cultural displays creating a festival atmosphere.

Tourism operators marketed destinations across Eswatini, with several lodges reporting bookings from visitors planning to extend their stay.

Officials from the Eswatini Tourism Authority said the presence of international tourists highlighted the fair’s growing appeal.

“This event is both a business platform and an entry point for visitors to experience the Kingdom,” one official noted.
