Talented South African maskandi star uMafikizolo is set to headline the Limuva Arts Festival.
The Festival Director M Nation revealed in an exclusive interview that the 2025 edition will take place at the Mkhuzweni Technical Centre on October 25, marking a strategic shift aimed at engaging a broader audience, particularly from the northern part of the Hhohho region.
“We want to grow the festival and have everyone mostly on the Northern side of Hhohho since we are doing it at Mkhuzweni Technical Centre this year. We want the Hhohho people to know the festival and own it since we are doing it for them,” M Nation explained.
This relocation underscores the festival’s commitment to inclusivity and regional cultural celebration, making it more accessible to communities that have previously been less involved.
This year’s Limuva Festival promises a vibrant lineup of cultural activities throughout the day, designed to offer something for everyone.

Attendees can expect traditional dances, craft exhibitions, storytelling sessions, and interactive workshops that highlight the rich heritage of Eswatini’s northern communities.
Adding to the excitement, there will be numerous prizes to be won, encouraging participation and fostering a lively, competitive spirit among festivalgoers.
“We are introducing a lot of cultural activities with a lot of prizes to be won, so it’s so different from the past one,” M Nation said, emphasising the festival’s evolution from previous editions.
This approach aims to deepen community engagement and create a festive atmosphere that celebrates both tradition and creativity.
Safety remains a top priority for the organisers, who have put comprehensive measures in place to ensure a secure and enjoyable environment for all attendees.
“There is going to be a lot of fun, and their safety will be our priority,” M Nation assured, highlighting the festival’s dedication to providing a worry-free experience.
