Government invests E16.4 mln in Manzini North infrastructure

Prime Minister Russell Dlamini recently inaugurated the newly constructed Mzimnene Community Hall and conducted an extensive tour of Government development projects in Manzini North Inkhundla, highlighting a combined investment of E16.4 million.

These initiatives are designed to uplift the local community, directly benefiting approximately 1,150 residents. The development portfolio showcased during the Prime Minister’s visit includes significant infrastructure upgrades such as the enhancement of the Moyeni-Stekstroom and Mpholi roads.

These road improvements are expected to facilitate smoother transportation and better connectivity within the region, fostering economic activity and access to essential services.

Additionally, the construction of the Dwaleni Community Hall stands as a testament to the Government’s commitment to providing communal spaces that encourage social cohesion and community engagement.

The Prime Minister expressed sincere gratitude for the successful completion of these projects and commended the Manzini North constituency for the visible progress achieved through Government-led initiatives.

He emphasised the importance of community ownership, urging residents to take pride in the new facilities and to ensure their preservation and maintenance for future generations.

Reflecting on the vision articulated by His Majesty King Mswati III, the Prime Minister recalled the monarch’s call for inclusive development that reaches all emaSwati, regardless of whether they reside in urban or rural areas.

He noted that His Majesty’s directive through Nkwe, a national development framework, continues to serve as a guiding principle for the Government’s efforts to promote equitable and sustainable growth across Eswatini.

“The purpose of today’s visit is to assess the progress of projects, identify areas where we may have fallen short, and make the necessary improvements so that development and assistance truly reach the people,” Prime Minister Dlamini stated.

This hands-on approach underscores the Government’s dedication to transparency and accountability in public service delivery.

The PM’s tour also provided an opportunity to engage with local stakeholders, gather feedback, and reinforce the Government’s commitment to addressing community needs.

The projects, which span infrastructure, social amenities, and community development, are positioned as foundational pillars for long-term socio-economic advancement in Manzini North.
