Eswatini’s gospel sensation Nothando Hlophe has made a remarkable breakthrough by joining South African gospel heavyweights Nontokozo Mkhize and Xolly Mncwango as the only female gospel artists to feature in the prestigious Top 50 South Africa Spotify Daily Chart in 2025.
This achievement highlights her growing influence and the rising popularity of gospel music across the region. The Spotify Daily Chart for South Africa is a dynamic ranking system that reflects the most streamed and shared songs by South African listeners daily.
It captures real-time trends and shows what music is resonating most strongly within the country’s vibrant and diverse music scene. For a gospel artist to break into this competitive chart dominated by various genres is a testament to the powerful connection between faith-based music and contemporary audiences.
Expressing her gratitude, Nothando Hlophe shared, “I’m beyond grateful to be listed among Nontokozo Mkhize and Xolly Mncwango as one of the only gospel female artists in 2025 (so far) to enter the Top 50 South Africa Spotify Daily Chart.

To everyone streaming, sharing, and spreading the message, thank you from the bottom of my heart. This isn’t just my win, it’s ours! Let’s keep pushing the sound of faith higher.”
Nothando’s latest single, “Methodist Medley,” has been a standout track from her recently released album ‘A New Dawn.’ The medley blends traditional worship elements with contemporary gospel sounds,
creating a soulful and uplifting experience that has resonated deeply with listeners. The song’s success is evident not only on Spotify but also on YouTube,
