Eswatini’s Jojo, Livin SZ shine on Mobi Dixon’s latest project

South African music producer Mobi Dixon has once again demonstrated his flair for collaboration and innovation by featuring Eswatini artists Jojo and Livin SZ on his latest extended play (EP), titled ‘Vintage Afro.’

Released on November 7, 2025, the five-track EP showcases a blend of Afrobeat rhythms and soulful melodies, with the standout track “More Love” featuring the Eswatini creatives.

The collaboration behind “More Love” is a testament to the interconnectedness of Southern African music talents. Jojo, a rising star from Eswatini, revealed in an exclusive interview how the partnership came about.

She explained that her initial contact with Mobi Dixon was indirect, facilitated by Livin SZ, a Swati producer based in South Africa. Livin SZ had sent Jojo several beats, inviting her to record vocals.

“I picked the ‘More Love’ beat, recorded my vocals, and sent them back,” Jojo recounted. “At first, I thought it was just another song, but Livin SZ was really impressed. He called it a masterpiece.”

The track caught the attention of Mobi Dixon, who then took the project further. “I got a call saying Mobi Dixon loved the song too.

He worked on it, made a few changes here and there, and completed it. He told me it would be part of his upcoming project, though no release dates were initially given,” Jojo said.

Over time, Jojo continued to perform “More Love” live, and the song consistently received positive responses from audiences, underscoring its potential long before the official release.

Mobi Dixon, born Mabi Ntuli, is a well-established figure in the South African music scene.

His debut studio album, ‘Tribal Soul’ (2014), achieved platinum status certified by the Recording Industry of South Africa (RiSA), cementing his reputation as a leading DJ and producer. Known for his ability to blend house music with Afrocentric sounds, Dixon has consistently pushed the boundaries of South African electronic music.
