Nothando Hlophe’s “Methodist Medley” has reached an extraordinary milestone by surpassing 2 million views on YouTube.

“Methodist Medley” is featured on Nothando’s latest album, ‘A New Dawn,’ which was launched at a live event on June 7, 2025, at the Mavuso Trade Centre.

The album ‘A New Dawn’ reflects Nothando’s spiritual evolution, combining heartfelt worship with contemporary gospel rhythms.

Alongside “Methodist Medley,” the album features other popular tracks, including “Sithumela Wena,” which has also garnered significant attention with over 663,000 views on YouTube.

What distinguishes “Methodist Medley” is its intimate homage to the traditional hymns that shaped Nothando’s early faith in the Methodist Church.

The medley artfully fuses these classic hymns with modern gospel arrangements, creating a bridge between the cherished traditions of the past and the dynamic expressions of contemporary worship.

In a recent interview, Nothando opened up about the personal meaning behind the medley. She described the hymns as more than just songs; they are reflections of her identity and gateways to treasured memories from her childhood.
