His Majesty King Mswati III has welcomed and blessed a groundbreaking E6 billion investment from the Republic of China in Taiwan,

as a high-powered business delegation paid a courtesy call on him at Mandvulo Grand Hall.

Led by May Liao and accompanied by Taiwan’s Ambassador to Eswatini, Jeremy Liang, the delegation briefed His Majesty on the upcoming construction of a multi-billion Emalangeni Taiwanese Industrial Park.

The delegation has been in the country for several days, actively exploring investment opportunities and engaging with key stakeholders.

In his remarks, the King expressed delight at the announcement and emphasised that Eswatini is open and ready for business.

“We want Eswatini to be a destination for meaningful, long-term investment. This Industrial Park, worth E6 billion, is a great start. We are pleased and fully support this initiative,” said His Majesty.

He added that Taiwan’s commitment and willingness to share knowledge and technology, even under global pressure, were commendable.

The King noted that their collaboration with Eswatini could become a beacon of hope and progress for other nations.

“Taiwan continues to demonstrate its strong belief in Eswatini’s potential. We are proud of our friendship and will continue to build on it.

Most friendships may fade, but this one must stay intact because we are making history together.”
