On the welfare of participants, Princess Sakhizwe reported that imbali are safe and well cared for.
She said imbali so far are safe and well fed so that everything goes smoothly as planned. She added that the maidens arrived and slept safely wherever they are kept.
The Princess said arrangements in place at Mpisi Farm and other sites are enabling the ceremony to proceed without disruption.
She noted that feeding and accommodation are being managed to support the thousands of maidens present.
She expressed satisfaction that the conditions are allowing imbali to focus on their responsibilities during reed-cutting and other activities.
