Well-known TV and Senior Pastor of Christian Life Centre Reverend David Chaliyumba has implored people to refrain from being insensitive when addressing Mbabane Swallows Director and Archbishop Bheki Lukhele as he mourns his late wife Mayibongwe Mthimkhulu Lukhele.
This he stated when making his remarks during Mthimkhulu’s memorial service on Friday. The reverend said people should be aware that in this period of loss, the archbishop was the one feeling the most pain, therefore they should not add to that pain by inflicting harm through the words they say during this period.
“Do not be insensitive. I know some people mean well with the statements they make about the passing of Mthimkhulu but if the message is not a positive one, then refrain from sharing it. Now is not the time for that. The bishop has been through enough, show him compassion by refraining from making negative utterances about the death of his wife,” said Chaliyumba.
The senior pastor was also the Lukhele’s neighbour and shared how their homes were similar in make and the only difference was that the Lukhele homestead had more cars parked in their yard, much to the laughter of the mourners at the service.
