The Premier League of Eswatini has urged clubs to put their houses in order ahead of the 2025 8Bet Trade Fair Cup kick off on Saturday.

The topflight football entity’s Chairman Polycarp Dlamini says this would ensure smooth proceedings of the annual knockout tournament.

This was during the kit presentation for the E2.5million sponsored knockout tournament held on Thursday at Mavuso Sports Centre.

“We call upon teams to put their houses in order before the kick-off of the tournament on Saturday. Teams only have Friday to sort out their differences to ensure smooth proceedings of the tournament,” he said.

Dlamini said they are independent from club ownership.

“We shouldn’t be dragged into club disputes, and clubs are allowed to run their affairs independently. We only mediate when approached by the affected parties,” he said.

Dlamini’s statement comes after capital city giants Mbabane Swallows are engulfed by an ownership wrangle between the two factions headed by Absalom Ngwenya and Princess Lungile.

Mbabane Highlanders AM FC is also having a pending High Court battle between former President Bheki ‘Rubber’ Simelane and the Patrons.

Simelane is challenging the termination of his 18 months contract and the appointment of South African businesswoman Shauwn Mkhize.

The matter will be back in court on September 21,2025, before High Court Judge Titus Mlangeni.
