The Eswatini Farmers Market has unveiled its exciting new theme for the 2025 edition: “Let’s go tropical.”

This announcement was made by the festival’s director, Mbekezeli ‘Culolam’ Dlamini, who encouraged attendees to embrace the vibrant dress code that complements the tropical theme.

Scheduled to take place on October 11, 2025, at Malkerns Country Club, the event promises to be a colourful celebration of culture, community, and creativity that continues to grow in popularity each year.

Since its inception, the Eswatini Farmers Market has evolved into much more than a simple marketplace. It has become a cultural phenomenon that brings together music, food, and local crafts, creating a unique platform where the nation’s rich heritage is celebrated with pride.

This year’s theme, “Let’s go tropical,” aims to infuse the festival with fresh energy and a vibrant atmosphere that reflects the warmth and diversity of Eswatini’s people.

In an exclusive interview, Dlamini expressed his excitement about the upcoming event, describing it as one that will “surpass all expectations” and deliver “endless excitement and unforgettable moments.”

His enthusiasm is matched by the impressive lineup of performers confirmed for the festival, including renowned South African artists DJ Mörda, Sun-El Musician, and MaWhoo.

The festival’s appeal lies in its ability to foster a spirit of unity and pride among attendees. It offers a rich tapestry of experiences, from live music showcasing local talent to a variety of food stalls featuring traditional and contemporary cuisine.

Families are particularly well catered for, with a range of games and activities designed to engage children, ensuring that the event is inclusive and enjoyable for all age groups.

General admission tickets are priced at E250, and Dlamini urged the community to purchase their tickets early to avoid missing out on what promises to be a landmark event. “This is for us Eswatini,” he emphasised.

Looking ahead, Dlamini shared the festival’s vision for continuous growth and innovation. Each year, the organisers strive to introduce new elements that enhance the experience and create legacy.

“We aim to make the festival bigger and better, bringing in new ideas that will leave a lasting legacy and uniqueness for each year,” he stated.
