The Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS), in partnership with the Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF), has launched the Matsapha Service Centre, a shared service space designed to make it easier and more convenient for clients to access services from both institutions under one roof.

The launch marks the beginning of a joint initiative that aims to bring services closer to the people, reduce travel costs and time for clients, and deliver a seamless “one-stop” service experience.

The Centre will house staff from both ERS and ENPF, enabling individuals and businesses to access multiple public services without having to move between different offices.

Speaking at the launch, ERS Commissioner General, Brightwell Nkambule, said the collaboration goes beyond shared office space and represents a new model of delivering coordinated public services.

“This is more than a collaboration; it is an expertise programme that combines the strengths of both ERS and ENPF to ensure that more Emaswati benefit from fast, accessible, and integrated services,” he said.

Nkambule emphasised that the Matsapha Service Centre is the first step in a broader roadmap. Plans are already underway to extend this joint model to other towns across the Kingdom, ensuring that citizens in all regions can experience the same convenience.

“Our vision is to replicate this shared service model across Eswatini so that our people spend less time traveling and more time focusing on productive activities,” he added.

ENPF Chief Executive Officer Futhi Tembe, who also spoke at the launch, highlighted the financial benefits of the partnership.

“This initiative is not just about convenience for clients. It is also about cost efficiency for institutions. By sharing infrastructure and resources, we save costs while increasing accessibility to our clients. This is a win-win for the organisations and for the people we serve,” she said.

The ENPF CEO noted that Matsapha was chosen as the first location because of its strategic positioning as the country’s industrial hub, where thousands of workers and businesses are based.

“We wanted to begin where the demand is highest, and Matsapha is the heartbeat of Eswatini’s economy,” she said.

The Service Centre will provide a wide range of services, including tax registration, filing, and advisory support from ERS, as well as retirement savings and benefit services from ENPF.

Both institutions assured the public that the Centre is fully equipped with technology and trained staff to ensure a smooth experience.
