By Benjamin Nyirenda
Kaizer Chiefs new signing striker Khanyisa Mayo scored on his debit on Wednesday night when they drew one all with Marumo Gallants but despite the goal he was substituted in the 58th minute for Coldly Lilepo.
Stand in coach Khalil Ben Youssef has said that they had to take Mayo out because he is not yet ready to play the full 90 minutes but they know they are expecting more from him.
Addressing journalists after the game the Tunisian born coach said that they know the importance of Mayo and he will be helpful to the team.
“Mayo was waiting for his papers now he is ready to play in the PSL but we know that his not ready to make 90 minutes and it was prepared for the game that he will make 50 to 60 minutes.

I think the performance of Mayo as we start the game for him I think he did very well to give us that opportunity and he also scored the first goal. We need more from Mayo because we know what he is capable of doing,” Youseff observed.
Meanwhile the coach further explained that new signings Nkanyiso Shinga and Ethan Chislett have a role to play at the team and there chance is coming.
“With Nkanyiso (Shinga) and Ethan (Chislett ) they are both with us and we as the coach we know which one is in the right moment to join the team.
They keep on working and they make very good performance training but we are waiting for the best moment when to introduce them,” Youssef told journalists.
Chiefs next league game is against AmaZulu FC on 1st October at the FNB Stadium from 19h30.
