Prime Minister Russell Mmiso Dlamini has encouraged emaSwati to take care of their health and well-being, further encouraging the Nation to donate blood. The PM was speaking at a wellness day for the Prime Minister’s Office held jointly with the Ministry of Health and the Public Sector HIV/AIDS Coordinating Committee (PSHACC).

At the wellness day, the Prime Minister was taken on a tour of different service stalls and briefed on different wellness programmes. He also donated blood and tested for sugar diabetes, blood pressure and determined his Body Mass Index (BMI). Other services offered for free to staff were cancer screening, HIV and Tuberculosis tests, amongst others.

“We note the increase in obesity in the country and we encourage emaSwati to practice a healthy lifestyle. I also encourage the Nation, along with corporate entities and organisations, to collaborate with the Ministry of Health to ensure that their employees donate blood,” the PM said.

Addressing the wellness staff, the Prime Minister urged them to uphold their work ethic at all times, applying diligence, respecting their oath of duty and maintaining a spirit of excellence in serving the Nation.
