Kaizer Chiefs other new striker is yet to play for the club since joining them earlier this season from rivals Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Nigerian striker Etiosa Ighodaro got injured during training and he has been going through rehabilitation but its believed that he will be back soon and make his debut for Amakhosi.

Stand in coach Cedric Kaze told journalists on Saturday after their win over Angolan side Kabuscorp FC on Saturday in the CAF Confederation Cup on Saturday that Ighodaro will be available for selection after the international break.

“Ighodaro has been injured but the medical department promised us that he started this week to train with the group without contact. But we hope that after the international break he will be ready to go,” Kaze observed.

Meanwhile the Burundian born coach said that Ighodaro together with Lebogang Maboe and Khanyisa Mayo will not be available for CAF Confederation Cup until the group staged when the team can be able to register them.

“I would say that if I am not mistaken Mayo is not gonna be able until the group stage. I will have as well to verify but I believe as well that Etiosa ( Ighodaro ) is going to be until the group stage. Lebogang (Maboe ) as well.

But we have other players that are available and probably will help the team. The like of Paseka Mako, Thabiso Monyane that were injured and Sphesihle (Ndlovu) as well. Ethan Chislett is gonna be available for selection,” Kaze concluded.

Amakhosi next game is in the Betway Premiership League on Wednesday against AmaZulu FC at the FNB Stadium from 19h30.
