Prime Minister Russell Dlamini issued a compelling call to action at the 12th Limkokwing University graduation ceremony, urging the institution to elevate its academic offerings.
He challenged the university to move all its programs to full degree status and establish its own campus within the country, assuring strong government support for students through tuition and allowances.
“Move all your offerings to full degrees. Have your own campus as His Majesty’s Government is committed to paying tuition and allowances for the students,” the Prime Minister declared, emphasising the government’s readiness to back this transformation financially and structurally.
He further stressed the importance of academic rigour, instructing the university to align all courses with the standards set by the Eswatini Higher Education Council (ESHEC). This move aims to ensure quality and relevance in higher education across the nation.
“Let all your courses offered here adhere to the standards set by our regulator, ESHEC,” he said, underscoring the role of regulatory oversight in maintaining excellence.

Beyond compliance, the PM challenged Limkokwing University to become a leader in innovation and set exemplary standards for other institutions to follow.
“I want to challenge Limkokwing University to lead by example as a school of innovation. Set standards that are compelling and should be followed by everyone after you,” he urged, positioning the university as a pioneering force in the region’s educational landscape.
He praised the recent introduction of full-time degree programs as a landmark achievement that broadens access to education and aligns academic offerings with national development priorities.
“It demonstrates Limkokwing’s commitment to expanding educational access, offering quality and industry-aligned programs that respond directly to the country’s development needs and that position graduates for success, both locally and internationally,” the Prime Minister noted.
He also invited the university to relocate its administrative operations to Eswatini, reinforcing the government’s commitment to supporting local reinvestment and institutional growth.
“I invite Limkokwing University to bring the administration of this institution to the country. As you re-invest locally, the Government commits to supporting the campus in every way possible,” he said.
Expressing strong confidence in the university’s leadership, Prime Minister Dlamini concluded, “From your track record so far, I am confident that this challenge I place before you will be done, and done well, in no time at all.
This is the confidence we have as His Majesty’s Government in the leadership of this institution.”
