Swazi Boy Entertainment marks 20 years with three-day celebration

Swazi Boy Entertainment is set to mark two decades in Eswatini’s entertainment industry with a three-day anniversary celebration aimed at honouring its journey while looking ahead to the future of the country’s events business.

Founded by Mthunzi “Shadow” Zwane, the entertainment company will celebrate its 20th anniversary at Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini from September 24 to 26, bringing together established South African DJs, local entertainers and industry stakeholders.

The celebrations will open with a 20th Anniversary Black-Tie Gala Dinner on Thursday, September 24, offering guests an evening of fine dining, live entertainment and networking.

The formal dinner will feature performances by Zwile, Linda Dlamini, Bholoja, Judah Soul, Ph. D, Greg Maloka and DJ Di Dang.

Guests have been encouraged to dress for the occasion, with men required to wear black-tie attire, including tuxedos, while women are expected to wear black or red evening gowns, with floor-length dresses preferred.

A table for 10 costs E10 000 and includes dinner, while individual tickets are priced at E1 000, also inclusive of dinner.

The gala dinner will set the tone for the main anniversary celebrations on September 25 and 26, when Swazi Boy Entertainment will bring a line-up of prominent South African DJs to Eswatini.

The main celebrations will feature South African DJs Vinny Da Vinci, DJ Christos and DJ Fresh, who will headline the entertainment programme.

They will be joined by local DJs Fantacy, ITSALLBLAQ, Knoxman and Smish The Bishop. For Zwane, the 20th anniversary represents more than a milestone for the company.

It is an opportunity to acknowledge the people who have contributed to its survival and growth while creating a platform to consider what the next chapter of the business could look like.

“Twenty years is a very special milestone, and I want to sincerely thank everyone who has supported Swazi Boy Entertainment throughout these two decades,” Zwane said.

Zwile for Swazi Boy Entertainment’s 20th anniversary.

He said the company’s journey had been shaped by the support of eventgoers, artists, DJs, partners and other people who had continued to believe in the Swazi Boy brand.

The anniversary comes at a time when Eswatini’s entertainment industry continues to evolve, with audiences increasingly exposed to different types of events, music experiences and international acts.

For Swazi Boy Entertainment, remaining active for two decades has meant operating beyond individual events and developing a brand capable of maintaining its presence in a competitive entertainment market.

The company’s 20-year journey has included creating platforms for artists and DJs while contributing to the country’s events calendar.

Zwane said the anniversary celebrations were therefore not intended solely as a look back at the company’s history. “We are grateful for the first 20 years, but we are also excited about what comes next,” he said.

“This celebration is a chance to look back, but also to look forward to bigger ideas, bigger platforms and more opportunities to contribute to the growth of entertainment in Eswatini.”

The company’s anniversary programme also reflects Zwane’s broader involvement in the local entertainment industry.

His business interests extend to House Musiq Fest, an entertainment platform he founded to add another offering to Eswatini’s events calendar. The festival held its latest edition in March 2026.
