Five Killed in Jerusalem Bus Stop Shooting

JERUSALEM — Five people were shot dead at a bus stop on the outskirts of Jerusalem on Monday, according to Israel’s ambulance service. Police confirmed that the assailants were killed at the scene.

Authorities have not yet identified the attackers or established a motive. However, Palestinian militant group Hamas praised what it described as two Palestinian “resistance fighters” for carrying out the assault, though it stopped short of claiming direct responsibility.
